Hotel Magnolia Pokhara

The Hotel Magnolia Pokhara is jointly owned by the unlikely combination of a Hong Kong restaurateur and a Welsh electro chemist. The paths of fate which led to our partnership is a tale worth the telling. On the 25th April 2015 Nepal was struck by a devastating earthquake, which killed almost 9,000, left 22,000 injured, and a trail of damage which will take years to remedy. In response, Hari Subedi and his wife had arranged a fundraising evening at their restaurant, Moroccos. Hari, born in Nepal, trained as a chef in India before fulfilling his dream of owning his own restaurant, situated on the little Hong Kong island of Cheung Chau.
